Honorable Mention "Home Decorating Store"		Whitman Wallpaper, Paint & Hardware has been family owned since 1971 and it is with a heavy heart that we have to close our doors. When the economy started to dip, wallpaper trends also declined. Wallpaper sales were a significant part of our store. We moved in hardware to compensate for the downward trend, but never rebounded from the loss. A continued downward economy, rising costs, and increase competition from big box stores has made business a difficult struggle. Like so many other small family owned businesses across the country, we too did not not come to this decision lightly. Our family thanks you, our loyal customers, for your years of patronage.
